Degree Works

DegreeWorks is a degree auditing program implemented throughout SUNY so that students and advisors can review progress toward graduation. This replaces the "Academic Plan" link in myINFO and is in a much more readable format.

  • is a web-based tool that shows progress toward degree completion.
  • organizes the student’s academic record into categories (blocks) for an easy-to-read audit.

  • uses checkboxes to easily identify what courses and requirements are complete, almost complete, or still outstanding.
  • can be used in advising sessions to determine course selections for upcoming semesters, and to review graduation requirements.
  • includes a “What If” feature which allows a student considering changing her/his program to see course work required for the new program, courses they have taken that satisfy requirements, and requirements still outstanding for the new degree.

A few bits of advice for a great semester:

  • Read all your course outlines carefully. Ask yourself: How am I graded in this class? When are major projects/tests/assignments scheduled? What are the instructor’s expectations of me in this class? Ask questions if something is unclear.
  • Make sure that you are in the habit of checking your myMAIL inbox every day for important communications.
  • Did you get all your books and materials? If you are using book deferral, you must do so by February 11. So, don’t wait to get books for your later classes (2nd 5-week, late start, etc.).
  • Do you have a current Certificate of Residence on file? If not, the clock is ticking; it must be submitted within 30 days of the start of classes.
  • The best advice we can give for having a great semester is this: go to class; be on time; do the work; ask for help if you need it.

Have a GREAT spring semester! Questions? Need guidance? Contact us at success@tc3.edu.
